Spirit of the Sea
Born in 1969, Ellarose Savage is currently working as a member of Erub Erwer Meta based in Darnley Island. She began her artistic journey in 2003 when she had the opportunity to work with the ‘Green Turtle Dreaming’ project.
Ellarose is keen in expressing her relationship with the sea and presently exploring the links between people’s surroundings, objects and their culture. Sea creatures have always been part of her heritage. She appreciates their graceful beauty and the environment from which they come.
